PRODUCT
DESIGN
The Product Design Collection showcases the work from our final year, major project. The variety of design challenges demonstrates the confidence of our students to push the boundaries of product design and explore the entrepreneurial possibilities of their ideas.
At Chester, designing is a hands-on experience, with an emphasis on developing ideas through the experimentation of both physical and digital making. This has enabled the students to produce creative and imaginative design solutions. We have a playful approach to media, materials and processes within a friendly creative community, allowing each student to develop their own individual response to the brief. The students have considered the social, economic and ethical concerns relating to the production of their designed objects and user experiences. Never more relevant than in today’s constantly changing world.
The work on display communicates the final outcome and provides just a glimpse into the comprehensive research, design and development work which underpins each project. You can follow the links to learn more about the work through the student’s own website and portfolios.
